Vermont

 Spring 

One of Vermont's major attractions in spring is maple sugaring season. There are three working sugarhouses within walking distances.


 Summer 

For those who enjoy life outdoors, activities include hiking, biking,fishing, horseback riding, and boating on the region's many beautiful lakes. There are also local outdoor concerts, and other events at the historic Haskell Opera House.


 Fall 

Fall is foliage season, when trees change from their usual shades of green to a spectacular range of colors, from bright yellow to vivid red. Many summer activities continue, with the added county fairs, craft shows, and harvest events.
The Derby, Vermont, Pumpkinfest, including many lit jack o' lanterns, takes place in early October - this year's dates are from October 7th to October 14th.


 Winter 

Winter activities include downhill skiing, with the following resorts nearby:

Cross country skiing is a favorite local pastime with many local areas accessible.

There is direct access to the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers (VAST) trail for snowmobile enthusiasts.

Ice fishing on the various local lakes is enjoyed by many.
For something different, sleigh rides are available within a mile
